Lyrics

"A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against any government on earth,
general or particular, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inferences"

Thomas Jefferson

The truth should now be evident
Oh but I don't think we've opened up our eyes
Corruption has long been prevalent
It seems we've grown accustomed to hearing all the lies

We've let it pass for far too long
And Lord I pray we can find our way back
It's the difference between right and wrong
But it seems that common sense is under attack

It's amazing how a well placed word
May cast a shining light
So people let your voice be heard
Stand up and join the fight

To defend and uphold is what they swore
Yet they turn their backs and ignore what we say
Our "servants" all seem rotten to the core
That shining city on the hill now festers with decay

Lord knows they should all be ashamed
But I wonder if that's a concept they even understand
Their tactics are to ridicule and defame
All the hard working people who make up this great land

We must reach deep and find our resolve
This travesty must soon meet it's end
We must all strive to stay involved
To ensure that it can't ever happen again
