Lyrics

As I slipped in to this mysterious dream
A fire raced through my mind
I saw the blazing sun and mountains aflame
And the ending of eternal time
A ship of fools on the far left coast
Expectations all stood still
But one and the same they stayed inside this game
I expect that they always will
The truth got out and brought a flood of doubt
At the cost of all goodwill

The sky grew dark and the wind picked up
Desperation as the piper played
A crowd soon gathered, the music stopped
But together they began to sway
The hopes and dreams were removed from their souls
And loaded in the back of a truck
We hopelessly sighed as a child cried
Authority had run amuck
And though blind in our minds, we made a wonderful find
And were blessed with a stroke of luck

There's a fine line between genius and madness
The sensible and unwise
The clouds can hide the truth from you
Though it's right before your eyes
When the sun shines brightest, the shadows are darkest
Follow what you believe
Dare to dream the most Mysterious Dream
Be amazed at what you may achieve

Farmers and lawyers and jacks of all trades
Had been spared the worst they had feared
The tables were set and drinks were poured
The jester smiled when the sun reappeared
Hats were off and shutters thrown wide
The tower bell was ringing quite clear
As word spread 'round, it was a wonderful sound
To all who would deign to hear
And all, it would seem, in this mysterious dream
Would come together on a new frontier

There's a fine line between genius and madness
The sensible and unwise
The clouds can hide the truth from you
Though it's right before your eyes
When the sun shines brightest, the shadows are darkest
Follow what you believe
Dare to dream the most Mysterious Dream
Be amazed at what you may achieve
